Throughout my career as a digital marketing and strategy executive in the music industry, the rough and tumble of the day-to-day. Back to back meetings, "fire drills," and need for the precious quiet time to actually do the work all prevented me from keeping up with new developments in music business tech, and finance that didn't demand my immediate attention.
There are numerous trade, magazines and newsletters providing Links and insights, But there’s never been a daily rundown music, industry developments, like NPR Marketplace Morning Report, or the powers that be Daily. NOBODY has time to sit, down and listen to a full length podcast every day. In early 2024 I got tired of waiting for someone to do this. I asked myself the question "why not me?" and got to work. I did two months worth of shows gathering feedback and honing the format before I launched in April 2024.

Lars Murray is a veteran music and media industry executive -- a strategist, marketer, creator, and connector with a track record of opening new revenue streams and opportunities for leading content and streaming companies, and for partners and clients in the music, media, technology and entertainment fields.
Lars has held senior positions in the streaming (Pandora) and major label (Sony Music) sectors. He also held positions in digital strategy and marketing with Virgin Records and the independent label Rykodisc and performed and recorded in two bands. He relishes attacking new projects and initiatives, and opening new revenue streams and venues for exposure, operating on the principle that the artist-fan relationship is the core of any successful music initiative.
